Top Things to Spend Your Money on This Year to Feel Happier

Have you ever spent a lot of money on something, only to realise it doesn’t actually bring you as much joy as you wanted and you don’t like it as much as you thought you would? I’ve had that happen to me quite a few times and it’s so disappointing. Now I’ve decided to curb my spending unless I’m buying things I really need, or will really add value to my life. Here are some top categories to spend your money on this year to feel happier:

1. Travel
I’m all about experiences and I think they’re the best thing you can spend your money on. Whether you love to travel alone, with your partner, as a family or with some friends, I’ve never regretted money that I’ve spent on a trip. Traveling doesn’t have to be expensive, it can be something as basic as a camping weekend near to where you live, or something as exotic as a few weeks backpacking around South East Asia. Obviously where you go will depend on your budget, how much time you have off and what’s the top of your bucket list. But I genuinely believe that travel is one of the only ways you can spend money that makes you richer – richer with knowledge about how the world works, what you want from life, and even who you are as a person. I honestly think travel can be just as good of an investment as going to college and getting a degree!

2. Your Pets
I have two dogs and I love them so much. Any cent spent on them is a cent well spent. Recently I invested in two new car harnesses for them to be safely in the car as well as some seatbelts. I love buying things for my dogs because even the most simple thing will be treasured by them and provide us with hours of fun. Some of my top things to buy for your dogs include Kongs, because you can fill them up with treats and freeze them and it will keep your dogs entertained for hours. Another great treat for your pups are the Wonder Chews. They’re delicious snacks that keep your dog busy and are also good for them.

3. Your Hobbies
As adults I think we’re generally pretty terrible at investing time and money into our hobbies. It’s so easy to get caught up in the cycle of work, eat, sleep and repeat with little consideration for fun and the things you enjoy. I think it’s so important to invest both the time and money into the things you love. Whether it’s playing sports with your friends, surfing during the warmer months, or even hunting. Usually a hobby requires buying some kind of gear, whether it’s a yoga mat for yoga, boxing gloves for boxing or hunting gear for hunting. Check out the best crossbow for hunting today at this link.
