I personally prefer to have all my boxes organised by room and labelled properly. This might seem obvious but it can make a world of difference when it comes to unpacking everything. I don’t mix things between rooms and try to keep everything together. The exception is towels or blankets, which I sometimes use to wrap more fragile items like glasses and plates. Having clearly labelled boxes means that if other people are helping you, they can guess where to put things. It will make unpacking so much easier if everything’s in the right spot.
4. Don’t Get Stressed
It can be surprisingly emotional moving out of your home, so starting early and having help is a great way to ensure you don’t become overwhelmed. Even if you’re excited about where you’re moving to, chance are you’re going to have mixed feelings about leaving your previous home. I think one of the best ways you can lower your stress and cope with the emotions is by knowing that they might come.
