4 Ways to Start Your Day Off Right

The way I start my day sets the entire tone for the rest of the day. If I get up slowly, snooze my alarm and struggle to even get in the shower, chances are my day isn’t going to be the most productive. But if I bounce out of bed, know what the plan is for the morning, I find that I get so much more done. 1. But First, Coffee
There’s no way I like to start my day off more than with a hot cup of coffee. The smell even gets me started in the morning and perks my mood right up. I personally love a little bit of caffeine to shake things up and ensure that I’m wide awake from the moment I have my first sip. 2. Plan Ahead
If you have clear goals for the day ahead set the night before, it makes it a lot easier to get up and get moving. I tend to focus on my three most important tasks for the day in the morning while my energy levels are the highest so that I can make a ton of progress.

The less you have to decide in the morning, the better. This means you’ll save all your brain power for decisions that actually matter. I generally like to lay my clothes out the night before so that when I get out of the shower, everything’s ready and I can get dressed fast. This is a tiny step that just makes my morning a little easier. Otherwise I can easily spend 10-15 mins in the morning thinking about what to wear and even changing my clothes.

4. Meditation
I’m one of those people who if I don’t make time for meditation first thing in the morning, then it’s quite simply not going to get done. By the end of the day, I’m tired and busy and just simply don’t have a spare 5-15 minutes to meditate. Doing it first thing in the morning ensures that I actually do it and that it’s an important part of my morning routine.
