How Too Much Alcohol Can Damage Your Health

There may be a reason why you are feeling dizzy all the time if you’re drinking too much alcohol. You will be surprised to know that drinking an excessive amount of alcohol can cause you to become anemic. It is because heavy drinking causes your body to have a lack of red blood cells. By becoming anemic, you will become tired, have a shortness of breath and will regularly feel light headed. Talk to your doctor if you feel like you may have anemia.


If you are struggling to sleep at night, it’s likely down to your alcohol consumption. You may end up developing insomnia as you are drinking alcohol before you are going to bed at night. It will mean you will struggle to get shut eye and will find yourself staring at the ceiling. Alcohol can act as a sedative as well; you may get to sleep but will wake up in the middle of the night. Try and stick to drinking water before bed and cut down on your alcohol consumption so that you get a better night’s sleep.


Unfortunately, drinking too much alcohol can increase the risk of cancer. You are more likely to be at risk of developing cancers of the mouth, liver, and throat if you drink heavily. Heart issues

If you are drinking way too much, you may find that you start developing heart issues. You can be more at risk of heart attacks if you are a heavy drinker and you may also develop an irregular heartbeat. Other heart conditions that can occur by drinking too much alcohol is high blood pressure and a stroke. Therefore, give your heart a break by cutting back on your alcohol intake. Buy one or two fewer drinks when you are out on a night out.
